A Forgotten Friendship In A Forgotten Time is a 2023 PCG by Epic Worlds PCG. This game explores some unfleshed-out lore with Yppit and Balzak Globotron.
Backstory[]
After the Crodin got their hands on the Sphere Technology, they hired Future Lab to create a Sphere Child army to defeat Ginkus, but somehow Balzak Globotron and a few others escaped, this made me wonder, well what happened to yppit, and how did Balzak escape? That was enough to convince me to spend a few hours fleshing this out, and so this game was forged. Enjoy.
Story and Situation[]
Grodo XVIII heads to Future Lab to oversee the progress of the Sphere Army, one of the Sphere children, Gori who at the time hated the thought of being created for the sole purpose of being used in someone's army, decided to cuss out Grodo, and he was not happy, so they sent him to the desolate planet of Ico where he would remain frozen until Xaq (character) would awaken him. (The Frozen Blade)
In the meantime, Balzak Globotron and Yppit were both contained in a cell, Yppit was drawing a picture of Ginkus, himself, and Balzak, they felt betrayed, but little did they know, that Ginkus didn't cause this, the Crodin were responsible for the force of cruel tests on these Sphere Children. Yppit and Balzak used the opportunity of a guard walking by to strangle him and steal his key. They freed all the Sphere Children on their block, but the guards were right on their heels, in a daring act of bravery, Yppit faced the guards to let the others make a successful escape off world.
Yppit was captured and remained in the facility for many years. Future Lab, not satisfied to just kill him, continuously tortured Yppit till he was nothing more than a broken-down cripple. Yppit, years later, left to suffer on the streets, stumbled upon an article that showed a hopeful sight to Yppit, it was an article that theorized about finding The Heart Of The Universe which would give Yppit unlimited joy to his tortured soul.
Yppit never found his Heart Of The Universe (Into the Heart of the World ), and instead only found more anger and dissapointment, he then tried another planet (Molemen on Gondo!), but again, it only yielded more anger and killings. So as we can see, not all heroes stay heroes forever, some sadly take a darker path when facing the harshness of society.
Gameplay[]
This game is mainly lore-based, so there is little playability of the game, but on screen two, the player can use the characters to attack the guard, after that, the cut sceens take over.
