Adam was the Biblical first man; according to some accounts he was actually an angel descended to Earth.
He's the former lover of Castitas, and later the lover of Eve. Aspects of him were later merged with aspects of Azaphel to create "Adam", an Umbrian.
History[]
Origins[]
According to the Story of Night and Day, Adam was an angel, the brightest angel in Heaven. He desired to see Earth, so God told him to go down for seven days; during that period, he met "Man" (Eve), who he chose to spend his time with. Together, they took knowledge of good and evil, against God's wishes. Adam thus stayed on Earth with her and the rest of humanity were born from them. (Soul Symphony: "Genesis" - "Story of Night and Day")
Epitaph of Sin[]
According to the Epitaph of Sin, Adam was originally the beloved of Castitas; she was ultimately cast out of paradise for disobeying God. After her expulsion, God created Eve for him to be with. In a vision, Castitas returned to paradise where she tempted the two of them with something important. (Soul Symphony: "Exile" - "Epitaph of Sin")
It's implied she tempted him with the Fruit from the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil; Castitas is thus the snake in the Genesis story.
Rebirth[]
When Castitas was converting the population of Babel to Umbrians, one was formed representing her Hope for the future. This Umbrian was created from aspects of Adam as well as Castitas' new love interest, Azaphel. This Umbrian was also known as Adam. (Chronicles Addendum)
