Alexander was the butler working for Geoffrey, Charles’ uncle. He hated his master for some unknown reason and plotted to kill him repeatedly. He could often be found sitting in his chair with a maniacal grin on his face.
Geoffrey's Murder[]
When Geoffrey was murdered, Charles investigated, and Alexander became one of the suspects, especially since his journal records having the perfect plan to murder his master in an entry recorded a day before Geoffrey’s death.
This all turned out to be coincidental, however. Alexander thinks he has the perfect murder plan every day, and they have all failed, including this one. Someone else murdered Geoffrey. (Charles Mystery Stories: The Mansion of Mystery)
After the Investigation[]
It is unknown what Alexander had been doing since his master’s death; however, he is next seen in our records in 2006 (A few years after his master’s murder), trapped in a strange, evil hospital known as the Death Ward Hospital. He had a chair, where he sat and wrote in his journal as he always did, but now he seemed lost-- He needed a new master to serve and attempt to murder.
In the hospital, he encountered Charles the Detective again. Charles had lost his memories, however, and thus didn’t remember Alexander’s evil plotting. He hired Alexander to be his servant, which provoked much maniacal laughter from Alexander.
Alexander accompanied Charles for much of that adventure. He attempted to kill Charles many times, but all his attempts failed miserably and he actually ended up unintentionally helping Charles succeed and escape the Hospital. When they escaped, Charles regained his memories, and as such it remains to be seen whether he will keep Alexander as a butler. (Charles Mystery Stories: Welcome to Death Ward Hospital)
