Butter boy was saved from a pit of lava by Sal, but then traded to Hasheesh for a key. Hasheesh used Butter Boy as a bait for his fishing. (Sal The Ice Cube)
Butter Boy, still used as Hasheesh's bait was captured by John who immediately added him to his inventory. (John's Absurd Adventure)
