Ghosts! is the title of a 2017 PCG by BronzeCo. It's the first game in its series, Mark III; it's the first PCG by BronzeCo not to feature Xaq or his friends as a protagonist. Also, it's the first of his games not to be personalized to the player, being playable by anyone.
The game's protagonist is a Ghost, Baron Mortimer von Fogwhistle. He returns home after a full-moon-and-Halloween vacation to discover that a family has moved into his house. He must scare them into leaving before 30 days is up, in order to retain ownership of his house.
This is probably the first-ever game not to employ Save Game functionality, because, in the creator's words, "Save game is a mechanic to deal with dying; here, you're already dead".
Mythology[]
The game explores the mythology of Ghosts. Ghosts all operate according to Ghost rules, which determine what a ghost can and cannot do. For example, ghosts can't leave the house except on a full moon and Halloween. Also ghosts are affected by light, making it more or less difficult for them to lift objects depending on how much light there is. The darker the scene, the stronger the ghost becomes.

The game's setting in relation to the PCG Universe is unknown, as currently there are no connections to it.
Story[]

Following Fogwhistle's return to his mansion, he begins to try to scare away the new human occupants but soon begins to gain clues that things aren't what they seem.
For one, Stan, the Parker family's father, seems to be hiding a set of silver keys to the old shed behind the house. When Fogwhistle steals the keys and hides them elsewhere, he becomes agitated.
Meanwhile he notices a strange Green Bubble which he recognizes as his own, but he doesn't remember where he got it or what it's for. If interfered with, it will redirect his attempt away from itself and to the chair, as if that was what he'd always been aiming for.
The Green Bubble later moved behind the couch and back, leaving another spot that can't be interfered with or looked at. Meanwhile Stan kept visiting the shed (which Fogwhistle can't visit as he can't leave the house.

Ghosts! was the first PCG to be featured on the YouTube video series, Let's Play a Paper Computer Game. So far there are four episodes of the Ghosts! LP.
