Gladys Mechaknight was a cyborg, and a viewer and customer of Space Sells. She had a rough life which required her to be able to produce heavy artillery on short notice. When calling into the show, she had three needs for the Salad spinner: she needed it to mesh with her cybernetic core, she needed it to be able to produce heavy artillery on short notice, and she needed it to be warm and human. Donna Sluiceweasle was able to modify the salad spinner to satisfy all these needs. ("Space Sells")
