Green Bubble

The Green Bubble, also called Jeremy by Cypress Parker, was a mysterious bubble inhabiting the family room of the late Baron Mortimer von Fogwhistle's mansion. Fogwhistle thinks of it as his green bubble, only he can't remember what it is, what it does, or why he got it. It seems to just be sitting on the floor in the family room.

If Fogwhistle tries to interfere with it for whatever reason, he'll find himself redirected, as if his intention had been something else to begin with. If he puts physical objects on it, they roll off neatly onto one spot on the floor. It even interferes with people's memories of it, often redirecting them to the chair in the room. (This seems to apply to both humans and ghosts).

Since the discovery of the Green Bubble, Fogwhistle has discovered many more green things which share the same properties.

History[]

During the fifth day of the Parkers' habitation of the mansion, Uncle Eddie saw the bubble move across the room to behind the couch and move back. He didn't find that scary; everything else he'd witnessed, including the motion of the dust, was.

From that point on, behind the couch, another spot appeared which could not be seen or interacted with. Whether another bubble exists there isn't clear, as Fogwhistle can't look at it without being redirected to the chair.

Fogwhistle witnessed Cypress, the human little girl, come into the room and interact with it. At first she was scared because of Fogwhistle's actions, but then she said "At least you're here, Jeremy" and sat on the bubble, establishing that humans can perceive and interact with it as well as ghosts.

Jan Parker thought "Jeremy" was Cyprus' imaginary friend. When she saw her on the bubble, she let out a bloodcurdling scream and took her out of the room. Then she seemed not to remember the bubble anymore, but told Cypress they should stay out of that room.

When exposed to Mildred's Jewels, the bubble became somehow stronger. The Jewels also became stronger.

By the time Fogwhistle returned from the shed, during the party, the bubble had grown to encompass the entire family room and other green bubbles had spread throughout the house and beyond. (Mark III: "Ghosts!")
