The Intell-Ape Ball, also known as the Sunglass Ape-Ball is a variety of Ape-Balls. They appeared to be more intelligent than normal Ape-Balls, as they didn't fall for the same tricks that their less intelligent cousins did. They also wore Sunglasses, which protected them from light, as Ape-Balls are naturally sensitive to light. For this reason, Flashlights didn't work on them. (Series 2: "Xaq to the Future")
Speculation[]
It is possible that the Space-Balls tribe may be descended from Intell-Ape Balls, as they seem to be more intelligent than normal Ape-Balls. This is evidenced by their ability to run (somewhat) an advanced, spacefaring civilization.
