Jul, short for Jules, is a mischievous Gnome, from the planet Paskwana. She lives at the Academy of Horone, under the watchful guidance of Master Nuko ("Ronin: Academy of Horone"). She possesses the unique ability to shapeshift into another person or creature, though not frequently. It is possible she acquired this particular skill while under the tutelage of Master Nuko. It is unclear whether any other Gnomes possess this ability. She frequently runs away, as she is very carefree and looking for adventure. At one point, she escapes the academy once more, and sets off an a journey that will test her, both physically and mentally ("Jul, The Wandering Gnome").
At some point, she left the academy and married a gnome. She was then captured by a troll named Malek, who was going to sell her to the highest bidder. With the help of her newfound friend Gnorman, she managed to escape Malek's cave, where her new friend took her to a hideout in the forest called Gnoll. Gnoll was a place where trolls and gnomes lived together in peace. However, it turned out Malek had some inside men in Gnoll, and he invaded and captured Jul once more. Jul escaped again, and, after exiting Malek's cave, her husband flew in on an airplane and rescued her. ("Gnome: The Forgotten" - "Gnome: The Return")
The character was created by Magic Paper Productions's little sister, and she has now become an important character in the MPP mythology.
