Mole Men are a race of subterranean creatures that originated on the planet Velieez.
They live in a great city that is built around the very center of gravity of the planet, and thus many of their buildings point inward, towards a central sphere of rock, while the remainder of the city is built outward from that central rock. The Mole Men have very honkable noses, and when Yppit first encountered them, his initial reaction was to honk them.
Yppit was a surface dweller who came down to Mole City, and for some malevolent reason destroyed it. This destroyed the Mole civilization, and refugees flooded the surface. When they learned where Yppit was, they chased after him with the idea of revenge.
Among them was a Moleman Giant, who had horns. He caught up to Yppit, but Yppit convinced him that it wasn't he who'd destroyed Mole City. The Moleman Giant let him go.

In the 2000s, the being known as Yppit infiltrated Mole City and ran a political campaign there, becoming the leader of the moles.
Using his position there, he was able to sabotage and destroy several generators powering the city, which effectively destroyed the city, killing many Mole Men and forcing others to the surface. (Into the Heart of the World)
The surviving mole men were refugees on the surface of Velieez, enraged at their former leader, Yppit. They tried to hunt him down and kill him, but he was able to escape. (REVENGE of the Mole Men)
Some Mole men refugees have fled to other planets since that time, such as Getzor. At least one Mole family has been known to take up residence there. ("Balzak Globotron")
Another Mole Man made a home for himself in The Sewers on Earth. He kept a portrait of Yppit, so he would never forget Yppit's atrocities. ("PCG Anniversary Special Part II")
A subspecies of Mole Men known as the Yak People exist underground on Earth, on an island called Lynoire. ("Worlds Collide")
