Paper Computer Consoles, or PCCs, also known as PCG Consoles, are paper console systems made to play Paper Computer Games. The concept was pioneered by The Sonic Activist, adapting it from Paper Games.
Paper Game Consoles had been created by IPGS, but The Sonic Activist pioneered adapting them to PCGs.
History[]
Paper Games[]
The concept of a paper console was originally created by IPGS, to play Paper Games on. Essentially, you could insert a paper cartridge, allowing you to play the game. This had nothing to do with the actual gameplay but was nonetheless adapted for the Paper Games Community.
The PCG Community, meanwhile, had no such feature and didn't adopt it. In the PCG channel's video on the difference between PCGs and Paper Games, Xaq highlighted paper consoles to show how different the two series are.
Paper Electronics[]
Paper Electronics has created some PCG consoles such as, Dual Game System, Pocket Game System, Pocket Game System XL, he continues to make more games and consoles. https://youtube.com/@Paper-Electronics
The Sonic Activist[]
Consoles weren't adapted for PCGs until 2019, when the Sonic Activist incorporated them in his PCG, Owltrex Legends. This was the first ever PCG Console -- the PCG Dreamcast.
The Sonic Activist followed in 2020 with two more consoles - the PCG Card, which allows people to make their own games for it, and the PCG Float, the first ever handheld PCG Console.
Magic Paper Productions[]
The return of PCG Consoles came in the form of MPP's console, MPP 101, in which he plans to have perhaps more than 20 PCGs for the console. The console is set to release beyond 2023, though only time will tell.
VoidDevX1[]
