Superbia or Pride was the sin name of one of the original Councilors of the city of Babel (now Umbrians known as the Seven Sins). He appeared as a clown-like shadowy figure. In his human life, he was known as Modestus.
Description[]
Pride's powers are similar to your own except heightened, enhanced speed, enhanced intellect, enhanced power. There is a possibility that you can beat him without the use of the mandala, however its difficult. Using the Mandala of Modesty on him will make the battle a lot easier by dropping a pure white column of marble on him thus passing the turn to you. He drops the jewel Rasalhague, the alpha star of Ophiuchus, which is required to defeat the last boss.
History[]
Human life[]
In life he was the Head of the Department of Architecture in Diz on Soluna. He was corrupted last by Saluna during his desperate grasp for power for the title of Senator. After death, his soul, unable to transcend to Heaven due to Salunas power, took on the form of a man in order to spread his corruption to others. He wears a clown mask (making him look a lot like his future reincarnation Zoovac). (Chronicles Addendum)
He plotted to bring back the "ancient ones" and gain power for himself. To do so, he enacted a plan to blast Diz off the face of Soluna. The plan worked, converting him -- and everyone else still in Diz -- into umbrians. (Soul Symphony: "Exile")
A group of adventurers fought their way across the war-torn city at this time, arriving at the temple just in time to see the plan enacted. (Soul Symphony: "Prequel")
Umbrian[]
Now an Umbrian known as Pride, he waited for his opportunity. It came when Adam appeared and began exploring Babel. He followed Adam's progress and subtly maneuvered him into destroying all the other Councilors. Adam did, and Pride took his anima to use for his ends. He sent Adam back to Soluna. (Soul Symphony: "Exile")
