The Silver Scorpion is a vicious little creature that can be found hiding inside human skulls, especially ones left discarded on the Ape-Ball's world. They are normal-sized scorpions that just happen to be made of silver. They're nearly unkillable and one strike from their deadly tail can kill.
Xaq first encountered the creatures on his trek across the Ape-Ball's world. They killed him repeatedly, and in the end all he could do was avoid the things. (Series 2: "Xaq to the Future")
Giant Silver Scorpion[]
Meanwhile, on the bone-planet known as Mortalis in Section D of the Mez'Dora Corridor, a gigantic Silver Scorpion waited. When Balzak Globotron beamed down to the planet to look for fuel for his ship, he noticed a gigantic skull. Peeking inside, he was nearly killed by an enormous Silver Scorpion.
After hours of struggling, he managed to get the scorpion into a compromising situation and pull off all of the creature's bolts with his debolter. Using a bone chisel he'd found, he pried open the creature's plating and found a golden keyhole. As he was about to be killed by the scorpion's final swing of its tail, he inserted the key-- deactivating the scorpion and granting him access to the inside of the creature.
Inside, there was a small cockpit, lined with silver. Balzak quickly learned the controls and began pioleting the Silver Scorpion, which he soon found out was able to climb straight down cliff walls. He walked across the desert with it, entering the Bone City and ascending to the top of the tallest building. The scorpion's presence on top caused the whole building to rise, all the way into space, where the Silver Scorpion was picked up by Balzak's ship and partially used for fuel.
