The Caves is an upcoming paper game being developed by the YouTuber gameasengine. It is unknown what paper game console this will be released on.
Gameplay[]
Not much has been revealed about the gameplay of this game but there are some things that we know. You can control four different characters that you can use to complete certain parts of the game. One character can be used to deploy ropes so the team can climb up and down cave ledges. Another character is very fast and can fit through small gaps in caves. Another character - the medic - can be used to heal other characters if they ever get hurt. The fourth character is unknown.
Plot[]
Right now, most of the story for this game has not been revealed. The bits that have been revealed is that you play as four characters who get stuck deep down underground in the caves and have to find a way out.
Development[]
The mountains

gameasengine began working on the game on Thursday, 19th September 2013. There was no planning for the game before production started. He created the main menu with all of the game modes he was planning to add to the game on that day.
The next day, he created a two fantastic artwork for the games prologue cutscene. One image was of mountains with snow and trees on them and another image was of New York city with the Empire State building in sight. On that day he created much more of the game, starting the storyline for it.
The next day, he continued the storyline, creating the first story cutscene for the game in as much detail as possible.
Over the next few days, he developed the fist cutscene - adding as much detail as possible and also planned how the gameplay will play adding stats to each character.
Development soon slowed but soon went back to schedule.
Setting[]
The official setting for this game is unknown but it is confirmed that it will be set underneath the mountains in dark caves.
