The Alliance was a pact among various malevolent powers of the Mez'Dora Corridor. It was formed under the supervision of Zoovac, who had been reprogrammed for evil by the Crodin. The existence of this alliance was revealed to Balzak Globotron following his first visit to Shri (Balzak Globotron Series: "Balzak Globotron"), but other adventurers had encountered evidence of them previously (Pierre Series: "The Alien Abduction").
In these earlier accounts, many mistakenly believed that the Alliance was The Company, as they seemed to be working with Company agents. There were references during that period to a United Alliance of Evil. (These references can be considered to be referring to the Alliance). The Company is indeed a member of the Alliance, but is not the Alliance itself.
More recently, the Alliance has re-emerged or reformed as The Shadow Alliance (or at least that's what it's known as to some of its members), as it's been brought together by The Shadow. It has new members in this iterations. ("PCG Anniversary Special II")

Appearances[]
This section includes only appearances of The Alliance, not appearances of its constituent members. This is defined as appearances where more than one member appear together, working together, or where one of the constituent members appears explicitly identified as representatives of the Alliance.
So for example, a PCG that just includes the Company wouldn't count as an appearance for this list. Unless they say they're doing stuff for the Alliance.
