The Tryptozians are an amphibious, tentacled species native to the planet Shairek in the Mez'Dora Corridor. They are a warlike species, believing themselves superior to other species. They are currently allied with The Alliance.
There is a well-known subspecies of Tryptozians that are massive-- many times the size of normal Tryptozians. These often fall into leadership positions within Tryptozian society.
Subspecies[]
Giant Tryptozians[]
The giant Tryptozians are a dominant subspecies, as mentioned above. They literally tower over their smaller cousins. (Balzak Globotron Series: "Balzak Globotron")
They are capable of shooting fireballs out of their mouths. These fireballs are incredibly powerful, enough so that they can deal significant damage to spacecraft. (Computer Game: "Spore")
Tryptozoids[]
Main Article: Tryptozoid
The Tryptozoids are a subspecies living on Shairek that are significantly less intelligent. They're characterized by having three eyes instead of one. Tryptozoids are seen as "inferior"; Tryptozian parents teach their kids to be kind to their Inferior cousins. Nonetheless there's still significant bigotry against them. ("Balzak Origins: Matak")
History[]
Prehistoric Era[]
Civilization on Shairek began in the 4th of Glaktar month, year 32 on the Shairek calendar, which roughly corresponds to 4500 years after it began for Humans on Earth. At 4:56:17 on that day, Gurgus the Great invented the first Tryptozian tool, the Can-Opener. (Computer Game: "Spore")
Modern Day[]
At some point Rho'Shibej joined The Alliance. He became captain of a ship of Flying Saucer Aliens. One day his ship abducted Pierre and Ari, who killed him and escaped. (Pierre Series: "The Alien Abduction")
His death drove Rho'Shibej's Brother to push the Tryptozians to join the Alliance. This bid was successful, due to Rho'Shibej's martyr status. Matak Rho' Shivej, a cousin of the Rho'Shibej brothers, had left the world and served aboard the Taburnackle by the time of this change. It shook his belief in his own people's superiority.
