What Conspiracy? is the title of a 2018 PCG released by BronzeCo, following the completion of his last game, "Ghosts!".

The game stars Adam Bermealeowitz, a writer for the Cryptozoology newspaper You Saw That, Right?. The story starts when he arrives in the small Appalachian town of Gumbucket.

The game will have a connection to some PCG that isn't one of Chris'.

Story

Adam is sent to Gumbucket to chase down rumors of a creature called the Gulthwip. There, he begins questioning the townsfolk to find the creature. He also encounters members of I Knew It! who are pursuing the same rumors.

Development

Cincanthropy

In development, the game was known as Cincanthropy, a portmanteau of "cinco" (Spanish for five) and "lycanthropy", implying werewolves.

The game is a spiritual successor to Ghosts! in that it continues the horror theme, but may not have any direct connections to it.

The protagonist was to be a werewolf.

Relationship to the Finished Game

BronzeCo has stated that, while "What Conspiracy?" is an "evolution" of Cyncanthropy, most of that game concept didn't make it into the final game.
