Zunto was a Crodin officer on Shri. He was also Subject 152 in a Crodin program of experimentation.
History[]
One day he was captured by a group of cultists and tied up in an old facility, along with Modri, a woman who he didn't realize was a member of the Zorelta resistance, and a Fig. Zunto developed a romantic interest in her, though he didn't say as much and she remained unaware and mostly concerned with him discovering her disloyalty to the state.
He frequently commented on her loyalty, which was meant as a compliment but only served to make her uncomfortable.
The group of them were untied and rescued by Pierre, another prisoner. Escaping the facility, they went with her to the Tower of N, where they encountered Zoovac, the torturer. There, the four were separated. (Pierre Series: "Descent")
Altered[]
He and Modri had unknowingly been part of a Crodin program to create altered people by subjecting them to a "Test Substance", and this was the reason the Cultists had captured them and intended to sacrifice them.
Following their separation from Pierre, their abilities manifested. Zunto's skin hardened into a rock-like substance, and his strength increased. Modri, meanwhile, gained the ability to control ancient Shri artifacts such as The Construct. When he encountered Balzak Globotron and his party, he immediately wanted to kill them. Modri agreed, acknowledging that she no longer felt the need to resist the Crodin. Balzak was able to pick up on this, realizing that she had formerly been a dissident. He pointed this out to Zunto, forcing him to choose between killing her and accepting her as a dissident. Finally, Zunto realized he couldn't kill her, deciding that he'd rather become a dissident himself. (Balzak Globotron: "Balzak Globotron")

Zunto confessed to the Crodin Empire that he no longer wished to be part of the Crodin Regime, and so they threw him into one of the many prisons they were building at the time. (Shadow Of Pain)
Zunto was found years later by another Crodin named Karvin Krat who convinced Zunto to become a Crodin again, but Zunto had changed, he was influenced by Figs and believed he was one. He stated that after the Crodin took Modri, he no longer wanted to be a Crodin and just wanted to be forgotten. Karvin somehow convinced the man to change, and Zunto went right back to his old ways. Zunto, enlightened, destroyed a Zigori settlement and later helped Karvin defeat a Construct.
Reborn[]
All was well, but when Zunto and Karvin got to the gates of the Crodin Empire, Zunto betrayed Karvin and took all the credit for defeating the Zigori, and killing a Construct. (The Zigori Empire)
